The Very Early Major League Baseball Season begins for the Tigers today.

Chris Garcia, Pudge and Peggy JoThanks to Chris Garcia, the manager of Pronto in Royal Oak ( in the photo with Peggy Jo ) we were able to get these photos of their pet gorilla which they named Pudge. It is the window of the restaurant on Washington Avenue.

With the addition of three star quality players (Miguel Carbera, Dontrelle Willis and Edgar Renteria) during the off-season, We are predicting a World Series Win. If it comes to pass, remember you saw it first here otherwise forget about it

Al Ackerman, of Channel 4, used the phrase "Bless you boys" at the beginning of the 1984 season and he used it often through out the year and was repeated by other people and the Tigers did win the World Series. Let's try it again this year..

From our readers:

Peggy Jo,

Thank you for including the announcement on the Mexican Ballet..

Happy Spring!

I haven't sailed since I was in my 20's and am now 45.  I was wondering what is the general age group of Sailing Singles members and is it acceptable to particpate in an event to see what the group is all about?

I am looking for new and exciting ways to meet people and enrich my life.  I love the water and boating, and thought that their organization might be fun to check out!

Thanking you in advance for your kind assistance.

W. G.

Dear W.G.,

The best advice we can give is try a tleast three events before making up your mind about any group. The people who attend will vary from time to time. Any event that you see published here are open to all and you should not hesitate to attend their events to see what the group is all about.

Peggy Jo

Hello Everyone! We hope you had a blessed and wonderful Easter holiday!  We are hoping
You and your family are all doing well and healthy!

We apologize for the group e-mails ---But with us spending so much
Time with my dad (Marias Dad, Joe)  etc---We figured this is the best way to thank you all for all your Prayers and good wishes for my dad.  Thanks again and because of them his
Surgery was a success and he is back at home as of this past Friday.  He stayed
At a nursing place for 2 weeks to get his energy back......

He came through His surgery for his left kidney removal with flying colors... However, we got some news, they found  During the surgery and after he had a much more aggressive cancer than they thought, so we werent Expecting that the cancer he had was an aggressive kind and from the pathology reports And from the surgeons report, they recommended chemotherapy pretty much soon as possible Hopefully it wont be very much or for very long.. We will be finding out soon

So we would so appreciate  if you could pray for a positive outcome with this
He's a strong guy and we know he can beat it!
We know prayer works and is powerful
And have seen it ourselves.

Thanks for your love and support!!!

Urinetown - The Musical This darkly hilarious musical satire uses an absurd premise – a devastating drought that has put control of all toilets into the hands of a corrupt corporation – to spoof Broadway plots and conventions. The evil CEO of Urine Good Company, Inc. has the police and the politicians in his pocket, but they won’t be able to stop our idealistic young hero and heroine as they lead the poorest citizens in a revolution against the anarchy of pay toilets. Hailed as one of the most original musicals to hit the scene in decades, you’ve never experienced anything like the Tony Award-winning Urinetown.
