To Your Health!

The symptoms of a heart attack for women may be much different than that of men.
Classic symptoms for men are:
  • Chest pain
  • Sweating
  • Arm Pain
while women's symptoms may be:
  • Shortness of breath
  • Weakness
  • Unusual Fatigue
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Abdominal Pain
Women may have warning signs a month or more before an actual attack which could allow time to treat the symptoms to possibly delay or prevent the heart attack.
Peggy Jo (from an article in "Better Health" newsletter spring 2005)
