Emails from our Readers

Dear Peggy Jo,
Can you help a new friend of mine find a boat to crew on for the Mackinac race? David is coming home to Michigan from Florida for his Port Huron High School Reunion on July 15 and would love to crew the Mackinaw race. He has sailed for 30 years, has his Captain's license AND has never been in the race.

Please send this info about David to those you know racing. David's sailing resume is posted at www.caulkett.com/sailing.htm. Thanks,
Jeanie B.

Stagecrafters

This event spans the period from 2011-05-20 to 2011-06-12
Book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan Music and Lyrics by Marc Shaiman Lyrics by Scott Wittman Hairspray has delighted audiences by sweeping them away to 1960's Baltimore, where the 50's are out -- and change is in the air. Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing, and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show." Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show, and find true love (singing and dancing all the while, of course!) without mussing her hair? Director: Matthew Miga
