SOFTBALL The club's softball is back for another season! The games are non- competitive. We accept players of all abilities, for any position they are capable of playing. They are "pickup," meaning open to whoever wanders by, with the rosters and captains changing every week de- pending on who shows and players' abilities. And they are "drop-in," meaning you can arrive and depart when you want to. We begin each week with practice at 4:00 PM. Sometimes it's a scrimmage against another team that is already there. Game time is set for 5:00 PM. We usually play until 7:15 - 7:30 PM and then head to a restaurant. The location for this free event is the popular Inglenook Park in Southfield, MI. It is on 12 Mile Rd., between Lahser and Evergreen, at the light, the only light in this stretch. Just pull into the spacious parking lot west of the playground structure and the restrooms, near the circular 1/3rd mile walking / jogging path. For more information, see www.CACDetroit.org/softball.html You can continue to watch SPARKS for the monthly schedule or contact me to get on a dedicated e-mail list.
