Vinsetta Grill Add.
The Vinsetta grill is one of my favorites because of the great food, pleasant, efficient and attentive wait-staff.

When you eat at Boodles make sure you save room for dessert. Bruno or one of the other wait-staff will flame it at your table. Very New York Style.

Thoughts for Independence Day

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. ~Elmer Davis

Then join hand in hand, brave Americans all! By uniting we stand, by dividing we fall. ~John Dickinson

My God! How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy! ~Thomas Jefferson

It is sweet to serve one's country by deeds, and it is not absurd to serve her by words. ~Sallust

"Men are extremely attracted to happy women. And women that are happy are happy alone and they're willing to share it. Women are supposed to be in love with themselves and men want to share in that."
Dr. Pat Allen

This is a special week with a Holiday in the middle. Double check all events published here. We don't always get a notice when some thing is canceled.

Pray so that we can continue to celebrate the Fourth of July

Soldiers in Iraq Praying "Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

Last Weeks seminar

Those of you who missed Dr.Allen's seminar last Saturday lost out on a wonderful educational opportunity. She was absolute awesome. Be sure to watch for more of her speaking engagements in the metro Detroit area.

Thank you Cydney for the great job you did bringing Dr. Pat Allen here. Her lecture and the workshops were very inspirational. We look forward to you bringing her back from California real soon.

Letters from our readers

Peggy Jo:
For some reason I didn't get your newsletter this week. Could you please send to me.
Thank you,
Response: The newsletter is sent via email each Monday morning. If we really knew how email works, we would probably surmise that it would not work. There are many ways that messages can be lost or routed to the wrong place. It is amazing that so many do get through. Your ISP (the stuff that comes after the @ sign) can and does change it's bulk mail or junk mail policy from time to time. So look in those mail boxes and mark them as not junk or not bulk.

Your node (The computer you dial with your modem) might be off line or your mailbox might be full.

In any case you can get the most recent issue by going to the the Peggy Jo Studio Newsletter Archives. It is usually there sometime on Monday afternoon.
Peggy Jo
Hi Peggy Jo,
From a "newcomer" - how do I actually meet these people??

I'm writing because I am interested in (maybe) attending the fireworks downtown - would never attempt it by myself, as I used to work downtown years ago and it was a bear trying to get out of downtown due to all the street closures. However, under events for Wednesday, it does indicate "more info" for the one that costs $20 and also the one for $40/$50. There is no mention of a phone number to call for "more info" for either one.

Also, I am interested in joining the people from Sailing Singles at the Post Bar, but how do I go about it? I know no one and would be attending by myself - Do I need to "join" the Sailing Singles beforehand?? What is the age group?

Thank you for taking the time to read this - any help you may be able to extend would be appreciated.

P.S. Happy Birthday!!!
We get information from many sources and sometimes the information is incomplete. The Wednesday Fireworks event was sponsored by the "Social Connection" . Learn how to use Google or Yahoo search to find these organizations.

All of the events that make it into the PJSN are open to all readers. Most of these organizations have members only events and we do not put those in the newsletter where potentially 6,500 people could see them. When you attend any of these events, find a group of three or four people and introduce yourself as a newcomer. All clubs are looking for you
