Vinsetta Grill Add.
The Vinsetta grill is one of my favorites because of the great food, pleasant, efficient and attentive wait-staff.

When you eat at Boodles make sure you save room for dessert. Bruno or one of the other wait-staff will flame it at your table. Very New York Style.

Does the Fox & Hounds Really Have to Go?

I've run into numerous people who are grieving the imminent destruction of what the Birmingham Eccentric calls "one of Bloomfield Hills' most historic buildings." I'm sure most people will agree with me that the sight of the Fox & Hounds' beautiful Tudor structure gives us pleasure whenever we pass it.

Is there no conscience in southeastern Michigan? This seems to be the only place in the world where history is continually demolished. Character in metro Detroit has once again been traded for money. The Fox & Hounds landmark in Bloomfield Hills was established almost 80 years ago to service travelers between Detroit and Flint. Apparently the inn will be torn down to make way for retail and office space ... which I haven't heard any demand for! But I have heard a demand for a place where our age group ( forever young) can find good food, great bands to dance to, welcoming staff, and a romantic setting.

For several years, many get-togethers and meet-and-greets that we have listed in the Peggy Jo Studio Newsletter have taken place there. Organizations have had great success with their affairs there, too. I can personally attest to the comfortable surroundings, the fun we've had dancing at our gatherings, the good food and service, and how easy it was to describe to people where to meet. We loved the atmosphere and the making of new friends at that location. Is there no way the Fox & Hounds can be declared an historic site so the building can be preserved? Or maybe there are other restaurant or hotel companies who could make it into a profitable inn, again. We'd be there!

Please, somebody step up to the plate!

"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. "
Jeramiah 29:13

For Art lovers only

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre. After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings and made it safely to his van.

However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, "Monsieur, that is the reason I stole the paintings. I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh."

(and you thought I didn't have De Gaulle to publish this.)

Well, I figure I have nothing Toulouse.

Dear peggy Jo,
Thank you for putting me on your mailing list. Do you know anything about oahu (Honolulu)? I would like to look up single dances there. I will be there for the month of August. Hopefully you can help more than I have been able to.

Response: Click here for a dance site in Oahu

Let them know what great weather we have in Michigan.
Peggy Jo.

Hi Peggy Jo:
I read the letter from "M" with great interest. There are many women and men out there in the same situation.
I'm one of the officers in the Selective Singles Club, and we recieve calls like this regularly. If you would like to refer these contacts to me, I will definately follow up on them. You can either give them my e-mail address f.irwin@sbcglobal.net, or my phone 248.651.8356.

As you know, when these people decide to come out, without a little gentle help or direction, they become discouraged easily.
Thanks,
Frank

Hi PeggyJo, No, I'm sorry to say - I did not attend any of the events that were published in the Peggy Jo Studio newsletter last week.

When I called Gloria, she said to certainly come and was very, very nice to talk to; however, However I was afraid. I wouldn't be able to find them and I wouldn't have been able to stay because I have to take care of. problem, of course). So I decided not to go.

Gloria mentioned about the gathering at the marina - I looked that one up and realized that "Ed" needed his money and name to leave at the gate beforehand. I wasn't going to call to ask if I could be a last minute attendee - that would not have been such a good idea, especially since no one knows me from adam and that did not seem like the time or place to "barge" in.

Same with the party in Troy . I did not want to barge in on the home party at the last minute. - these were all planned well in advance and just did not seem like the right time and place to meet. The weather yesterday did not help either. When it's bad weather, this gal does not go out unless absolutely necessary (I'll explain this to you when (if) I do get to meet you).

I appreciate you forwarding the gentleman's note he sent you - I will get in touch with him since he was thoughtful enough to do this and you were thoughtful enough to send it on to me.

Again, thank you.
M.
Response:
Dear M,
Sorry you didn't make it to the events. One of the good things about people bringing a dish to pass, is that the party giver doesn't have to worry about how much food they need. You would not have been "barging" since it was open to all. Sure Ed wanted people to make reservations in advance, but you weould not have been the only one that showwed up at the last minute.

We have to assume that if all are invited then all are welcome.
