  • Ryder Cup After Glow Fri 9/17/2004
  • After Glow, one of Detroit's newest and hottest networking events takes its act to the 2004 Ryder Cup, Friday, Sept. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
    The event will be held at the Great Lakes Journal Hospitality Suite located in the parking lot between St. Regis Grade School and Brother Rice High School.

    Local band Good Gravy will provide the musical entertainment. Cost for the event is $30 in advance and $50 at the door and includes parking, food and beverages. Proceeds from the event go to the Autistic Children's Treatment Network (ACT Network).

    "We are very excited at what we have been able to accomplish so far with this event," said Mark Powers, CEO of the Great Lakes Journal. "Hopefully, we will be able to attract record numbers that night and provide the ACT Network with a large donation."

  • ACT Network Has 600 Tickets Left for Ryder Cup
  • BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. -- Still looking for tickets to the 2004 Ryder Cup? Look no further than the Autistic Children's Treatment Network (ACT Network).

    Despite recent reports, the Bingham Farms-based charity, in coordination with the Great Lakes Journal and REM Marketing Group, announced that it still has 600 tickets as well as the closest parking available for professional golf's premier event, Sept. 14-19, at Oakland Hills C.C., in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

    Tickets, ranging from $150-$700, are available for all 2004 Ryder Cup rounds, the opening and closing ceremonies and practice rounds. They can be purchased individually or as part of several daily packages, which include such things as transportation, full catering, parking and hotels. Packages range from $300-$700 depending on the day(s) on which you attend. Weekly packages are also offered. For more information, go to http://www.ryder2004.com or call 866-666-6222.

    The Autistic Children's Treatment Network The ACT Network, a charitable 501 (c) (3) organization that helps support children with autism and their families, is a non-profit organization; a portion of your investment will be considered a tax- deductible donation. Research indicates that children with autism have approximately a 50 percent rate of mainstreaming into regular education with early intervention.
