For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before the LORD."
The Day of Atonement : Yom Kippur
The Grand Finale of the Days of Awe
Yom Kippur 2009 starts at sundown on Sunday 27 September (Kol Nidre), and lasts all day Monday 28 September, 2009 until sundown. This day marks the culmination of the Days of Awe, the period between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The Day of Atonement is described by Maimonides as "the universal time of repentance" (z'man teshuva lakol). It is spent praying and fasting.
Yom Kippur is mentioned biblically in Leviticus 23: 26-32. A whole tractate of the Babylonian Talmud is dedicated to Yom Kippur (Yoma).
The tradition of wearing white on Yom Kippur
There is a tradition to wear white on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, though today you will find many only adhering to the tradition on Yom Kippur. The tradition stems from several concepts.
White signifies the color of mercy, and on Yom Kippur we pray for mercy.
The angels "wear white" figuratively, and on Yom Kippur the congregation of Israel fasts and prays like the angels.
White is the color of purity, and the Day of Atonement itself brings spiritual purification.
She is also famous for organizing great theme parties at the Detroit Yacht Club like "The Little Black Dress" and the recent "Night in Cuba" .

You can browse rather than wait to see a particular photo with the "digital mustard" on the upper lip. Just replace the phrase in the section box with a first name and delete any other text in the box. Then only the slides that contain that name are displayed.
If you had your photo taken and can't find it in the slide show please send us an email. If you would like to send a photo to be included, send it to email@example.com. We will supply the "digital mustard".

WORDS WOMEN USE
from an eMail.
This is the word women use to end an argument when they feel they are right and you need to shut up--------------- Never use "fine" to describe how a woman looks - this will cause you to have one of those arguments.
This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade.
This means "something," and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with "Fine"
GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows! )
This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine"
GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows)
This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care" You will get a "Raised Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.
This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing"
Again, not a word, but a non-verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" mean that she is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.
This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you back for whatever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised Eyebrow."
At some point in the near future, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble.
This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance with the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay"
A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say you're welcome.
THANKS A LOT
This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have offended her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell you "Nothing"

Dear Peggy Jo,
Yesterday I was able to rescue Billy, a domestic black and white
medium hair cat. He is very sweet and affectionate. He is currently
at the vet because his large wound is infected and the skin is dying.
The wound covers his left side. I do expect him to recover. I am
still looking for a wonderful home for him when he is well as he
deserves the very best after what he has been through. Please let me
know if you know someone interested in having this special little kitty
Thanks for your help,
We will publish your email. If anyone would like to contact P.L., send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will forward the information to P.L.
It will be a Sabbath day of total rest, and you will spend the day in fasting. This is a permanent law for you." Leviticus 16:31

Chronic remorse, as all the moralists are agreed, is a most undesirable sentiment. If you have behaved badly, repent, make what amends you can and address yourself to the task of behaving better next time. On no account brood over your wrongdoing. Rolling in the muck is not the best way of getting clean."

Pink Rose Inspirational Foundation, Inc.
The Pink Rose Inspirational Foundation, Inc. was founded by Nicholas Pyykkonen after he lost two aunts to breast cancer and watched his mother experience the effects of the same disease. His Aunt Kathy, an inspiration, lost her battle on April 21, 2005 and his mother was diagnosed on March 17, 2006. Two sisters, best friends in life, both outstanding teachers, daughters, wives, mothers and aunts. The youngest of three girls, Nick's mom has taken care of her entire family after they were diagnosed. Nick's grandfather lost his battle to prostate cancer and his grandmother, continues to fight metastasized colon cancer. Wanting to do something to stop this "beast" from invading the lives of other families, Nick launched the Pink Rose Inspirational Foundation in October, 2007 and Incorporated in July 2008.
The foundation is a non-profit organization and all donations are greatly appreciated. The Pink Rose Inspirational Foundation is focused on helping to find a cure for this cruel disease. Please feel free to contact us at anytime. We offer support to families in need and understand this journey.
