Emails from our readers.

Hi Peggy Jo,

I like getting your newsletter every week, but find many of the events have no start time for the event listed. For instance:

"SUN 2007-09-30

Location: Anton's Island Grille , Northwest corner of Big Beaver (16 Mile Rd) and Dequindre

Meet at Anton's Island Grille for breakfast. Anton's is where life is about the THRILL O' THE GRILL. For a great breakfast and fun with friends, c'mon out and join us and be sure and bring a friend. "

And:

"TUE 2007-09-25

Location: Bloomfield Hills Middle School. 4200 Quarton Rd. (16 Mile), Bloomfield , MI. Just West of Telegraph .

VOLLEYBALL DROP-IN EVERY TUESDAY . New players welcome. Nets will be
Designated: Upper Intermediate in the Gym and Competitive in the Field house."

There's not even anyone to call for the above event to find out what time.

Other events have no time listed, but show a phone number and I'm thinking that poor person is going to get about 200 phone calls.

Is there any way to put a start time on all events?

Thanks!

Thank you for your feedback. This is what we were looking for. The problem has been corrected and the next issue will have the start times if the participating club supplies one.

Peggy Jo

HI Peggy Jo,

I thank you for all your hard work put into your newsletter.  "Back to the top" did not take me there.  Many of your events did not give us the time they started.

~ Dee

Dear Dee,

Thanks for your feedback. The AOL eMail program does not recognize the internal links and we will be putting the time of the event when we do get it from the submitting organization.

Peggy Jo.

HI Peggy,

I thank you for all your hard work put into your newsletter.  "Back to the top" did not take me there.  Many of your events did not give us the time they started.

~ Dee Hi Peggy jo,

Change of e-mail address;;;;effective today my new e-mail is ---- I really do enjoy your newsletter, I look forward to it every week.

Dear Peggy Jo,

I have read your articles on hand washing ,and even though I get strange looks in the men's room, I do sing "Happy Birthday" twice while washing my hands.

Recently I was at dinner in a new upscale restaurant in Royal Oak with an elegant lady who asked for a straw for her water. When the waitress returned, she plunked the unwrapped straw into her glass holding it by the end that would be used to sip.
I called the waitress back and asked her for a wrapped straw. She replied that they did not have any. I called her attention to the boorish manner that she used to deliver the first straw and she amusingly replied that we ought to see how they are stored in the kitchen. She did deliver another straw which she carried in a napkin and placed upon the table.

Hand washing is very important and so is the many other cleanliness methods to avoid the passing of flu and cold germs. All restaurants should be required to deliver wrapped straws. They can't be that expensive.

R.L.
