  • Sailing Singles Happy Hour Wed 10/27/2004
  • The McCormick & Schmick Seafood Restaurant features some great Appetizer items during the Happy Hour. It is on the site of the former Houlihan's behind the Sax store in the Somerset Collection just south of Big Beaver on Coolidge.

    The group meets from 5:00pm until 8:00 pm and some people stay for dinner. Call Roy Cleland for any other information 248-399-9336.

  • Nancy Curnow Art Show for the Month of October and November
  • Peggy Jo and Nancy Curnow pictured above.

    Nancy Curnow is an active member of Sailing Singles and in addition to her artistic talents, she is often called upon by skippers of Sailing Singles, to go up the masts because of her comfort with heights and her light weight.

    Nancy and Paula Wild have been held over by popular demand until the end of November.

    The exhibit is being held at the Colonial Gallery in the Perfecto Gelatto Caffe on the Nautical Mile. 24317 Jefferson St. Clair Shores, Mi on Tuesdays-Saturday from 8:00 am to 6:00pm and on Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The phone number is 586-776-3627

    Commodore Marlene Solomon and Richard Hooper were the guests of The Port Huron Yacht Club at their Commodores Ball held at the St. Clair Inn on Saturday, October 23, 2004. Richard Hooper said that the members of PHYC are looking for racing crew members. They are willing to train any able bodied candidates.

  • Sailing Singles Wine Tasting Party Wed 11/03/2004
  • Barbara Clarke and Pat Setter will be hosting a wine and cheese tasting party where attendees will be sampling unique wines from a unique company- PRP Wine International

    The company proudly presents top quality and unique wines from all over the United States and Europe. Sailing Singles member Art Talbot will provide us with detailed information on each wine.

    It will be held at Wagon Wheel Saloon on the southeast Corner of Big Beaver and Rochester Road on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 starting at 6:00 pm and lasting to 8:00 pm.

    The cost for members is $10.00 and $15.00 for guests. With the cost of admission attenees will be entered in a drawing for a fine wine compliments of PRP Wine International

    Pat and Barb urge all to join the fun, stay for dinner and mix and mingle with sailing Singles Members and guests.

    Monday November 22: EBAY: What it is and how to use it With the Holidays approaching, doing your shopping over EBAY or similar internet auction sites may be beneficial. Rich Armstrong will present the do's and don't of EBay'ing. He has found it to be a very useful tool for shopping and cleaning out the attic.

    So get out your face paint, duct tape, feathers, and any other appearance altering items you can scrounge up, and turn yourself into a creature suitable for what promises to be a blow out event.
