Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas

We have focused on the miracle-thing and I think we often overlook the message of Hanukkah. To me, the core of the holiday is the cleaning of the temple.... The accomplishment was in restoring the temple to the purpose for which it was built. Now think of the temple as a symbol. Perhaps it represents my life. The world has tried to use me for its own (perhaps good, but none-the-less extrinsic) purposes. But now I can rededicate myself to my own original purpose.

- Ralph Levy, "Hanukkah - Another View"

Now this is what it is all about.

101 years old driving an 81 year old car
This is priceless. Notice at the very end when she steps on a little red towel to get into the car so she won't dirty the running board, then picks it up and puts it in the car so she can use it when she gets out! Precious lady!!
An amazing lady, 101 years old driving an 81 year old car

How children perceive their grandparents.

My young grandson called the other day to wish me Happy Birthday. He asked me how old I was, and I told him, 62. My grandson was quiet for a moment, and then he asked, "Did you start at 1?"

The way it was ---the good old days

I think this is pretty special to all of us who grew up around Detroit. Enjoy Click here

This is a must see.

Tallahassee Christmas Lights-Honoring Our Troops! This lightshow is awesome and is a home in the Southwood subdivision in Tallahassee .. Click on the web site below and watch the video. They've done a great job of honoring each of the military branches by incorporating their anthems. Click here These folks should leave it up year round. Pretty SPECTACULAR. I hope their home is paid for. What do their neighbors really think?

This is a really great idea! When filling out your Christmas cards this year, take
one card and send it to this address: A Recovering American Soldier, c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center , 6900 Georgia Avenue, NW Washington , DC 20307-5001 . If we pass this on and
everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful, special
people, who have sacrificed so much would get.
